With this many people suffering, it's important to know the possible causes, and risk factors, and to share them with family and friends.

Commonly seen conditions include depression, anxiety, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), eating disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and substance use disorders. Some symptoms of these conditions may seem to apply to everyone.
